Roger Wayne Cormier, 60, of Bridge City, died, Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at his residence.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, Jan. 11, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Rev. Jim McClintock of St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City to officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Roger was born Jan. 31, 1947, in Port Arthur to Irvin J. and Margaret (Miguez) Cormier.

Roger was a member of the Estelle Fetters Adult Activity Center in Groves. He loved to bowl and was an avid Elvis fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin J. Cormier and grandparents, John and Nina Mae Miguez.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret L. Cormier of Bridge City; sister Linda Nicks and husband, Jerry L. of Bridge City; aunt, Beverly Prados; nieces and nephews, Michele George and husband Michael, Mikel Nicks and wife Suzanne, Lori Nicks and Neil Etheridge; great-nieces and nephew, Julianna, Blake and Meredith Nicks, Kathryn and Kara George.
