At the end of the day Saturday, February 2, Amanda Balon, the star of ANNIE, climbed the mountain of pet food donated by theater patrons Saturday at the Lutcher Theater.

Stores in Orange reported a run on pet food and checkers couldn't figure out why dozens of well-dressed people were emptying their shelves of pet food.

Annie attendees donated 280 bags of pet food totaling 6,975 pounds (OVER 3 TONS) to benefit the Southeast Texas Humane Society. The Lutcher Theater is matching the donation with a $2,500 contribution to the Humane Society. Lutcher Theater and Stark Foundation staff delivered the food to the Southeast Texas Humane Society Wednesday.
