Madison Davis was honored at the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce as Student of the Month at the chamber’s monthly coffee.

Davis, the daughter of Kim and Paul Davis, is a Senior at Bridge City High School. She ranks third in a class of 146 students and holds a 4.86 Grade Point Average.

Described by her Social Studies Teacher, Cheryl Royal as, “a very well rounded, highly responsible, exceptional student,” she also, “possesses many leadership skills.”
Kathie Dorman, Bridge City High School Spanish Teacher, said, “She is always smiling and friendly.” Davis is a “diligent student, and has a great work ethic,”  “a pleasure to have in class.”

She has been the recipient of may Awards and Honors including Who’s who among American High School Students, United States Achievement Academy, The Fountainhead Essay contest and one of the 25 twirlers who performed in the halftime show at Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Fla. on New Year’s Day.  Davis also belongs to Cardinals for Christ, En Croix, Academic Team, plus many other clubs and organizations.

As a Rita Recovery Volunteer, she works with homeowners still seeking aid in repairing their homes.

For the past three years she has volunteered at the Orange County Courthouse during the summer. Working with Judge Troy Johnson and Judge Dennis Powell, she provided clerical assistance and observed court proceedings.

Currently she is employed by Dairy Queen.

Her future plans are to major in history and then attend law school.
“Although I have applied to several colleges, I am still deciding on which college to attend,” Davis said.
