The Orangefield Bobcats are rolling through tournament action with a 7-0-1 record going on the road this week to the Liberty Baseball Tournament, March 6-8.

Orangefield played host to area teams last week in the Bobcat Baseball Tournament and jumped in swinging. Sophomore Jacob Felts was 3-for-3 at the plate that included a double and triple and six RBI. Orangefield defeated the Tyler All Saints Trojans 10-0 in six innings in their tournament opener. Sophomore teammate, left-hander Jace Statum, went all six innings giving up just two hits with nine strike outs.

Friday the Bobcats tied a bitter battle with Beaumont Central 6-6. Saturday the Bobcats defeated East Chambers 6-2.

The Bobcats are led by head coach Jeff Bennett. Assistant coaches are Derek Peveto and Luke McFarlane.
