Student's in Mrs.Wolfford's 3rd grade class and Mrs.Watt's 4th grade class collected the most money for the school's contribution to the D.E.S.K. Program (Donate Educational Supplies for Kids). This is a community-wide school supply drive that supports needy families throughout Southeast Texas.

There are 107 schools in 23 districts in our area that are supported by the program. Schools are given vouchers that can be redeemed at local Wal-Mart stores for basic school needs.

In recognition of their accomplishments, these classes were given a happy meal party and were visited by members of the Wildcatters hockey team. All students who contributed were given a free ticket to a Wildcatter's game.
