Graveside services for Bobby Gene Grubb, 81, of Lufkin were held Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Autumn Oaks Memorial Park, Orange, Texas with Brother Keith Royal of Winfree Baptist Church officiating.

Mr. Grubb was born May 17, 1926 in Port Arthur, Texas, to Hazel (Wesley) and William Grubb and died Monday, March 17, 2008 in a local hospital. He resided in Lufkin at Castle Pines Nursing Home for 2 years.  He was a loving Father, Step Father, Grandfather, and Step Grandfather. 

Mr. Grubb served in the United States Air Force during World War II.  He retired from Dupont SRW as an operator after 37 years of employment.

He was a member of Winfree Baptist Church in Orange where he loved to sing prior to his illness. 

He was preceded in death by wife Patsy Ruth Grubb, son David Grubb,  wife Hazel Jackson (Alexander) Grubb.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Jeff Grubb and Bridget of Lufkin; granddaughters, Jacqueline Grubb and Mallory Grubb of Lufkin; step-son and step daughter-in-law, Mike and Donna Alexander of Hemphill; step-daughter and step son-in-law, Stephanie and John Edgerly of Orange; step grandson, Alex Edgerly; step granddaughters, Erica and Macy Edgerly.
