Over 280 Anderson Elementary students have raised more than $3000 in “Jump Rope for Heart,” an annual fundraiser for the American Heart Association.
Students signed up to participate in the special event several weeks ago through their physical education classes and then began practicing jump rope techniques.
This week, students participated in the “Jump Rope for Heart” event by grade levels,  jumping rope in single jump, double jump, criss-cross, single side swing and jump, right foot, and left foot styles.
Students also competed against their classmates in competitions to see who could jump the longest. Prizes were awarded.
