On April 3, the LCJH Symphonic Band competed in U.I.L. Concert and Sight-reading Competition at Port Neches Groves High School.  They received a superior rating (1) for their concert performance and a superior (1) rating in sight-reading.  Bands that receive superior ratings in both competitions are awarded a Sweepstakes trophy for making the highest possible ratings in both contests. David Johnson is the band director for LCJH.

 LCJH Varsity Treble Choir attended the U.I.L. Concert and Sight-reading contest in Beaumont on Thursday, April 10 and received a superior, or (1) from all three judges, the highest possible ranking.  In sight reading, they received a 1, 2, and 2 which gave them a sight reading score of 2. Stephanie Teague is the choir director at LCJH.
