Mary M. “Millie” Hardin, 83, of Orange died peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Orange Villa.

Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Bell of Cove Baptist Church.

Interment will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be held beginning at 1:30 on Saturday before the funeral service.

Millie was born in Nacogdoches, TX., on August 31, 1924 to Ross and Evalena Holt Bagley. Millie worked for Weingarten’s for 37 years before retiring. She was also a 60 year member of Cove Baptist Church and was in the VFW Lady’s Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death her parents, Ross and Evalena Holt Bagley; husband, Joel Hardin; son, Joel Wayne Hardin, and brother, Jewel M. Bagley.

Mille is survived by her grandson, Wayne Hardin; granddaughter, Kimberley Hardin; great-granddaughter, Lauren Hardin; sisters, Martha Hall and husband Stanley of Orange, Beth Shepherd and husband D.T. of Orange, and sister-in-law Bertha Bagley of Lafayette, L.A. Also surviving her are nieces, Gail Hamilton, Christi Hillebrandt, Kay Mazzola, Dana Roberts; nephew, Michael Shepherd; great nieces, Alicia Permenter, Carli Fuselier, Leslie Mazzola, Lauren Mazzola, Donna Kovatch; great nephews, Cole Hillebrandt, Steve Mazzola, Jr., Adam Mazzola, Justin Roberts and Jacob Roberts.

Serving as pallbearers will be Stanley Hall, James Roberts, Steven Mazzola, D.T. Shepherd and Charles Hillebrandt. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. & Mrs. Archie Jones.
