The identity of both Orange County drowning victims have been released.

Fifteen year old Jared Edwards of Vidor was discovered by the National Park Service in the Neches River at approximately 8 p.m. Saturday, May 3.

 “ Jared appeared to be the victim of an accidental drowning no foul play was suspected. Justice of the Peace, Judge Rodney Price ordered an autopsy and will be conducting the death inquest,” stated Capt. Tommy Smith of the Orange County Sheriff’s department.

In West Orange, 14 year old Matthew Hall, died by drowning Saturday after jumping off the bridge on Western Ave. into Adams Bayou. His body was recovered around 11 p.m. Saturday night.

Hall’s funeral will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday at Claybar funeral home in Orange.
Arraingements are still pending for Edwards.
