Odell Wilson, 83 of Orange, Texas and formerly of Kermit and Odessa passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2008 in Orange.

Graveside services with Military Honors and Masonic Rites will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in the Kermit Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.

Odell was born on September 22, 1924 in Ropesville, Texas. He was a W.W. II Army veteran serving in the 14th armored division, and he was a self employed printer for over 50 years. He had a duel membership in the Masonic Lodge being a member of the Odessa Lodge number 955, and the Bridge City Lodge number 1345.

Odell married Nina Havens on September 10, 1950 in Spur, Texas. She preceded him in death on September 27, 1969. Odell was also preceded in death by his parents, I.W. and Deal Wilson; and his brother and sisters, R.W. Wilson, Irene Rose, Ida Mae Langford, and Annette Simpson.

Survivors include his son, Warren Wilson and his wife Sharon of Hearne, TX; his daughter, Nanette Idell and her husband Jim of Orange, TX; five grandchildren Pamela Dane, Tamara Phillips and her husband Rance, Kyle Wilson, James Idell and his wife Tenia, and Kevin Idell; and ten great grandchildren Piper Wilson, Howard Tarpley, Julie Idell, Shelby Wright, James Walter Idell, Brody Idell, Adam Wright, Sidney Idell, Chelsey McMahon, and ALeigha Idell.
