James “Jimmy” Vidrine, age 80

of Bridge City passed away on May 13, 2008 at a local hospital. Jimmy

was a resident of the Port Arthur-Bridge City area for the past 60


Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; Clovis and Isabelle Vidrine, Step-Father Bill Hart and Grandson Steven Troy Logan.


retired from The Gulf Oil Corporation as a operator with 30 years of

service. He also proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy

(Seabees) during World War II.

Jimmy is survived by his wife,

Wilda Vidrine of Bridge City, Daughters Carleen and husband Harry Logan

of Wimberly, Texas, Judy and Husband Mike Darden of Friendswood, Texas

and Linda and husband Jeffery Guidroz
of Bridge City, Texas, brother Clovis Vidrine of Port Arthur, Texas.


Paul Logan, Michael Logan, Lori Smith and Sarah, Brandon and Jonathan

Guidroz. Great Grandsons, Gage and Justin Logan, as well as a host of

other family members and friends. Jimmy was a loving precious husband,

father, grandfather and friend who was loved by everyone that met him

and knew him for his dry wit of humor.

Visitation was held,

Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. with a Rosary at

6:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.

Funeral services

were on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the Thompson Memorial

Chapel of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home with burial  followed at

Greenlawn Memorial Park.
