Bridge City Graduate Receives Outstanding Performer Rating

Devon Armstrong, a 2008 graduate of Bridge City High School recently received an outstanding performer rating at the state Solo-Ensemble contest. Only 256 out of 85,000 contestants state wide achieve the rating.
High school principal Richard Briggs presented Armstrong with the Certificate of Excellence and gold medal June 16, at the school board meeting.
Armstong has participated in the vocal music programs at Bridge City schools since the second grade.
His plans are to attend Texarkana College for the fall semester and major in Business with a minor in Music.
He is the son of Songa East and Damon Armstrong.
