Hunter plans skeet shoot in June, Toups show in August

The Friends of Hunter will sponsor a political benefit and skeet shoot for Larry Hunter, Democratic challenger to incumbent Mike Hamilton for the District 19 state representative seat, set for 8 a.m. June 28 at the Orange Gun Club. Deadline to RSVP is June 25.
The event is limited to the first 20 paid five-man teams. Other features include a raffle and silent auction.
Cost is $500 per team and $100 for individual shooters. The first-paid entrant gets choice of start times.
Shooting formats are 50-bird five stand and 48-bird scrap. Prizes will be awarded to the first- , second- and third-place teams and the top individual and youth shooters.
Lunch is included for competitors and will be $10 for nonshooters.

Maze added that details are still be worked out for a Wayne Toups concert to benefit the Hunter campaign, tentatively set for Aug. 9 at VFW Post 2772 along North Texas 87 in Orange.
