Orange left in the dark for more than an hour
Power was lost in Orange today at 12:24 p.m., when a transformer on a transmission line failed; leaving 12,300 Entergy customers in the dark.
The transmission line that lost power supplied four substations which meant power lines supplying the city of Orange, Mauriceville and southern Newton County all failed leaving most of the customers in the dark for about an hour and a half.
The substations affected were Cordrey, Echo, Front Street and the Orange Bulk Substations.
The outage was resolved at 1:56 p.m. and all customers should be restored
