The Bridge City High School Varsity Cheerleaders attended NCA Cheer Camp June 9-12 in Huntsville at Sam Houston State University.

The ten girls consists of six seniors, Sarah Armand, Amy Caillouet, Cassie Carr, Miranda Fisette, Emily Navarro, Jordon Pittman; four juniors, Valerie Brown, Shelby Richard, Alexa Richmond and Ricci Shoemaker. 

Everyone of these ladies were nominated for All-American with five of them receiving the title. They are Cassie Carr, Miranda Fisette, Jordon Pittman, Shelby Richard and Alexa Richmond.

This varsity team won many awards at camp that consisted of over 500 cheerleaders. Their awards consist of all blue Superior ribbons, the Spirit Stick, Technical Excellence Award on motions and stunts, Herkie T.E.A.M. Award (awarded to the squad that shows true team spirit, unity and leadership throughout the week), Spirit Award (voted on by all squads at camp as the squad who has added the most spirit to the camp all week), and a bid to nationals.

Amy Caillouet, senior, co-head cheerleader was awarded the Individual Leadership Plaque for displaying excellence in leadership throughout the week and in Captain’s Class.

Miranda Fisette, senior, was selected among her peers to be a part of the NCA Staff.

And last but not least, “Big Red,” Meredith Miller, junior, was nominated for All-American Mascot and was given the Spontaneous Mascot award.
