School is out and the kids are always hungry. It is too hot to play outside. Why not make some cookies and enjoy.
I got these from a friend of mine that furnished no samples.

Rocky Road Cookies

• 6 ounce bag semi-sweet chocolate morsels
• 1/2 cup butter
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 1/2 cup flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• 1 bag miniature marshmallows

Melt chocolate and butter on low heat. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix remaining ingredients in bowl and pour in chocolate.
Mix well and drop by teaspoon on to cookie sheet. Punch a marshmallow into the center of each cookie.
I think that perhaps she meant to say add all ingredients except marshmallows, maybe not, I’m not sure. Bake the cookies for 8 minutes.

No Bake Chocolate Cookie

• 2 cups sugar
• 4 tablespoons cocoa
• 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 stick butter
• 1/4 cup milk
• 3 cups 1-minute oatmeal
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
Mix all ingredients except oatmeal, peanut butter and vanilla in a large pan over medium hear. Boil mixture two minutes.
Stir in 1/2 cup peanut butter and vanilla, then add 3 cups oatmeal (be sure to use 1-minute versus regular oatmeal). Mix thoroughly. Drop by tablespoon on to buttered foil or wax paper.
These cookies sound Gooder’n Syrup. Von
