West Orange – Stark High School choir students Jardon O’Neal and Chase Champine have been named “Outstanding Performers” and awarded gold medals as a result of their performances at the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Choir Contest held during the last week of school at Texas State University in San Marcos.

O’Neal, a West Orange – Stark High School graduated 2008 senior, and Champine, a junior, both earned I’s at the state competition, qualifying them for consideration for “Outstanding Performer” accolades.

The two learned of their prestigious honors by mail during June, when they both received notifications and gold medals.

O’Neal was a three year member of the WO-S High School Choir. He will attend Kilgore Jr. College this fall and major in Music.

Champine has been a member of the WO-S High School Choir for two years.
