In a special meeting of the Bridge City ISD School Board Wednesday morning, four new teachers were hired for the upcoming school year.

Amanda Wright will teach Life Skills and Rachel LeBleu will be the teacher for Special Education at Bridge City Intermediate School.

Christi Wiegreffe is joining the Middle School faculty as a math instructor.

Teresa Thibodeaux was hired as the new varsity head softball coach and physical education teacher at Bridge City High School.

“We still have several positions that need to be filled as the new year approaches. It gets a little tough to fill the jobs in July,” said Dr. Jamie Harrison, Superintendent of Schools. “Hiring meetings are held at this time of year to comply with the time frame for all of the schools to adjust their faculty needs for the new school year.”
