Bridge City ISD Student Registration 2008-2009 School Year
Information for ALL new students to Bridge City Independent School Distritct:
Items needed for pre-registration are: previous school records, current immunization records, certified copy of birth certificate, proof of residence (lease purchase, rent agreement), legal guardianship information (if appropriate), and social security card. A parent or guardian must be present with the student to complete registration procedures.
BRIDGE CITY HIGH SCHOOL: New students should pre-register in the assistant principals’ office on Wednesday, Aug. 6 through Friday, Aug. 8, 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. New students must complete pre-registration so their schedule of classes can be picked up on orientation day, Wednesday, Aug. 13.
To participate in orientation: Students are required to adhere to school dress and grooming policies.
Orientation schedule: Seniors-10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Juniors-9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., Sophomores-8:00a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Freshmen-12:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
If you wish to park on campus, you must purchase a RESERVED PARKING PERMIT. To purchase a permit the following items are required:
Reserved Parking Permits will cost $15.00. All students driving vehicles must have the vehicle registered with the school and the parking permits must be visible at all times. To purchase, you must provide 1)Proof of Liability Insurance. 2)Your valid Texas Driver’s License. 3)Your vehicle’s license number. 4) Drug testing permission form signed by parent. NOTE: If you have a previous form signed and in our possession, no form is necessary.

MIDDLE SCHOOL Registration for Grades 6, 7, and 8
Students new to the District should register beginning Monday, Aug. 11 through Friday, Aug., 15 in the Middle School Counselor’s office. This office will be open from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. STUDENTS PREVIOUSLY ENROLLED: Registration for the Middle School students will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Middle school cafeteria. Students will pick up academic class schedules, locate classrooms, and take school pictures. Students are required to follow the school’s grooming and dress code regulations. Physicals and drug testing forms can also be turned in to the coaching staff on campus after registering.

Students new to the district should register Monday, Aug. 4, through Friday, Aug. 15 in the campus main office from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Bridge City Intermediate will hold parent orientation on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 4:30 p.m. in the cafeteria to review campus procedures, BCISD policies, and important state mandates. Schedules will be distributed from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Teachers will be in classes to greet parents and students. Students unable to attend the registration on Thursday, Aug. 21 will be given schedules in the school office on Friday, Aug. 22from 8:30 – 3:30. Teachers will not be available on Aug. 22 due to staff development.
HATTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
New students in the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD), Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten may apply for enrollment from Monday, Aug. 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the office at Hatton Elementary. Class/teacher assignments will be posted on Thursday, Aug. 21 for students previously enrolled.
PARENT ORIENTATION: Aug. 21 for PPCD, Life Skills, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten
Class rolls will be posted in the hall. Parent Orientation will also be held at the following times:
9:00 a.m. Students with last name beginning with A-M
10:00 a.m. Students with last name beginning with N-Z
SIMS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:
Students new to the Bridge City District may enroll beginning Monday, Aug. 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Class/teacher assignments will be posted on Thursday, Aug. 21 for students enrolled prior to Friday, Aug. 15.
Parent orientation is Thursday, Aug. 21. Class rolls will be posted in front hallway.
Parent Orientation will be held at the following times:
10:00 a.m. – Grade 1 in the cafeteria 10:30 a.m. – Grade 1 in classroom with teacher
11:00 a.m. – Grades 2 in the cafeteria 11:30 a.m. – Grades 2 in the classroom with teacher
THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL for all campuses is Aug. 25.

Individual student portraits will be made during orientation for the high school on 8/13 and registration for the middle school on 8/19.
The correct amount of money must be brought to orientation. Please make checks payable to PROVINE.
