Ursula M. VanBenthuysen, 95, of Orange, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, in the Meadows in Orange. Services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, from Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City with the Rev. Ed Rawls as officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Port Arthur.

Born Jan. 30, 1913, in Galveston to Oswald and Augustine (Baron) Killi and a member of Silveroaks Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph VanBenthuysen; sisters, Mildred Koch and Laverne Gray; and son-in-law, John Parker.

Survivors include her son, Joe VanBenthuysen and wife Doris of Orangefield; daughter, Ursula M. Parker-Shaw and husband William of New Roads, La.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Bill VanBenthuysen, Rickey Sheppard, Douglas Parker, Dean Parker, Charles Parker, and Jesse Shilling.

Honorary pallbearers are Cory VanBenthuysen, John Baxter, and Scott Sheppard.

Memorial contribution may be sent to Silveroaks Baptist Church Building Fund, the family said.
