Pink Shopping Card Program kicks off
Julie Rogers “Gift of Life” Program kicks of its third Pink Shopping Card Project at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Julie Roger Theater, with a visit from the Sweet Potato Queen, Jill Conner Browne.
Browne brings the gift of laughter covering a serious subject. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month she reminds us, “There is no one on earth who has NOT been affected in some way by this disease.”
With a $50 tax deductable gift, you receive admission to the show and a Pink Shopping Card which entitles patrons to a 20 percent discount to hundreds of area merchants and restaurants from Oct. 23 – Nov. 2.
“Putting on the Pink” is the “Gift of Life’s” month long program that provides free mammograms for medically underserved women in the area and educates women on the lifesaving advantages of early detection.
