Dedicated to honoring veterans, St. Mary Catholic School sixth through eight grade students entered the Patriot’s Pen Contest, Sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Ladies Auxiliary, contest winners each receive a savings bond. Kayla Michael won first place, while Jace Robertson came in second and Madison Swiderski took third. 

Their essays will be read at the annual veteran’s program scheduled for Nov. 11. Students are excited to present the program that is dedicated to those who bravely fought to keep the United States of America free.
