Students in Jillian Howard’s sixth and seventh grade English classes presented more than $100 to the West Orange – Cove School District for Hurricane Relief.

“I am so blessed to teach such remarkable students. Even though they are victims themselves, they have reached out to their own community. What an unselfish act of kindness,” Howard said.

The students, from all of Howard’s six classes, donated spare change in a collection jar which was set up in the classroom for approximately two weeks.

Howard challenged the students to raise as much as possible by agreeing to match total dollars raised.

Money collected in the drive is used to purchase standardized dress clothing for WOCCISD students in need.
