Games This Week

WEST ORANGE-STARK (9-0) over CALDWELLL (6-3)—The Caldwell Hornets have been chomping at the bit to get into this year’s state playoffs after enjoying a bye last week and not really knowing who they were playing this week until late Saturday night. Now they know and will be introduced to the Mustangs’ offense and “Chain-Gang’ defense Friday night at Wood Forest Stadium in The Woodlands. It could very well be a long night for these Hornets.

MCNEESE STATE over CENTRAL ARKANSAS—Fortunately for the Pokes this season, they play better on the road than in Cowboy Stadium because this game is for all the marbles in the Southland Conference. A convincing win by the Cowboys will create at least a piece of the championship and a possible trip to the small school playoff tournament. McNeese usually is tough when the chips are down.
