Christmas open house planned
First Presbyterian Church of Orange’s ninth annual Christmas open house will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 5 in the church’s Gillespie Building, corner of Ninth Street and Green Avenue.

BC children’s events announced
Church on the Rock in Bridge City will host “Slime Time” for ages 4 through sixth-grade from 10:30 a.m. to noon Nov. 30. Kids’ Rock will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 6 with the theme, “A Night in Bethlehem,” for children in first through sixth-grade. Kids’ Rock features costumes, games and food.

Gifts for needy children

The time has come once again at St. Helen Catholic Church to purchase gifts for the needy children of Orangefield and Bridge City area. All St. Helen attendees are asked to take a tag from the Christmas tree, purchase the requested gift and bring the wrapped gift with attached tag to place under the tree.
All gifts will need to be returned to the church no later than Sunday, Dec. 14.
Also, volunteers are needed on Monday, Dec 15 to help sort the gifts. All volunteers are asked to contact Susan Gunstream at 745-2415.

Christmas light show
Pine Forest Baptist Church, 4800 N. Main St. in Vidor, will host “Come Listen to the Lights” Dec. 5-7, 12-14 and 19-31. Hours will be 6:30 to 10 p.m., and 7:30 to 10 p.m. Sundays hours.
The show is accompanied by music broadcast on an FM frequency. Dale Prudhome, minister of music and drama, directs the production.
