Crock Pot Candy
We were at a friends house last week to play domino’s and she served Crock Pot Candy. She even gave me the recipe, so I am passing it along to you.
It is really easy to make, but a little expensive.
Charlie made a big batch Tuesday. We used our large crock pot.
You could probably cut the recipe in half and have plenty of candy.
It calls for dipping it with a teaspoon, however we used a tablespoon and made 81 pieces.
You’ll also need plenty of time at it will take about six hours to complete and a bushel of wax paper and cookie sheets. We used five cookie sheets.
Now if I haven’t scared you off, let me remind you that it is easy.
• 16 ounces dry roasted salted peanuts
• 16 ounces dry roasted unsalted peanuts
• 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
• 4 ounce bar German Chocolate
• 3 pounds white Almond bark
Put the ingredients into the slow cooker in the order it is listed above. Peanuts, chocolate chips, German chocolate, and almond bark.
The large cooker will be full.
Place the lid on and turn it on the low setting. Set a timer for three hours. Do not peek.
At the end of three hours, turn off cooker and stir thoroughly and allow the candy to set for 25 minutes.
Drop by teaspoon onto cooking sheet covered by wax paper.
It will take another three hours for it to set. You’ll think that it is not going to make, but it does.
You’ll think the expression, “You’ll have candy running out of your ears,” is so.
Hope you enjoy. It is Gooder’n Syrup. Von.
