Sarah Thomas Lilley, 88, died in Beaumont on Dec. 23, 2008.  Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Claybar Funeral Home on 504 N. 5th St in Orange. The Rev. Danny Gilliam of McDonald Baptist Church will officiate.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.  

  Visitation will be on Friday, Dec. 26, from 4 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

 Mrs. Lilley was born on April 9, 1920, in Holly Springs, Miss. to John Hamilton McClatchy and Sarah Thomas McClatchy. She was a retired nurse and a member of Central Baptist Church in Beaumont for many years.  

 Sarah was preceded in death by her son, John Wesley Miller; husband, Jesse Lilley, one sister and five brothers.

 She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Ann and Charles Burns of Orange and Viki  and Herbert Dickerson of Pineville, La; her son, Homer Miller Jr and wife Patricia of College Station; ten grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

 Pallbearers will be Jeff Miller, Ryan Dickerson, Joel Dickerson, Frank Lomonte, Jim Huber and Barry Terrell.  Honorary pallbearer will be John Dickerson.
