Hot Hearts is back Hot Hearts returns to Ford Arena at 6:15 p.m. Jan. 23 and 9 to 4 p.m. Jan. 24. Entertainment includes the group Red, the magic program Living Illusions with escape artist Kristen Johnson. Also, the group Superchick, which has five No. 1 singles and 700,000 albums sold. Speakers include Aaron Ivey, Clayton King and Kacy Benson. Tickets are only available through Hot Hearts. Mail registration to P.O. Box 215, Orange, 77631 or go to http://www.hothearts.org. Tickets are $23 through Jan. 21.

Women’s workshop planned The next area-wide Women’s Workshop, a Christian-themed, nondenominational group event based on scripture and Biblical principles; will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the gym at Winfree Baptist Church, 19525 Texas 62 in Orange. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided, and child care available. The workshop is sponsored by the Cowboy Church of Orange County. For child care, call Karen Lee at 718-6626 by noon Thursday. The purpose of the class is to guide women to discover recipes and prescriptions for practical living. The January theme is “Learning and Living God’s Will For Our Lives.” Workshops are led by Allison LaMarr of Port Neches.

After-school study lab First United Methodist Church will have an after school study lab each Monday for grades four through eight begining Jan. 26 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Praise Center. Registration is required and will be Jan. 18 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the center. The lab is free, and there will be a recreation time and a hot meal served. Call 886-7466 for details.
