OrangeEddieB Laverene Kemp, 84, of Orange went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009. Funeral service will be held Sunday, Jan. 25, at 3:30 p.m. at McDonald Memorial Baptist Church in Orange. The Rev. Danny Gilliam will officiate. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

EddieB was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Elmer, La., to Michael Kelroy and Sarah Estelle (Smith) Carruth.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class at McDonald Memorial Baptist Church. Known for her sense of humor, outgoing personality love and compassion for others, EddieB loved to visit and was a loving mother and grandmother, always very caring of others.

EddieB is preceded in death by her husband, Iley Kemp; her son, Michael Kemp; and six sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Kemp and wife Patricia and Billy Kemp and wife Sue, all of Orange; grandchildren, Don, Bryan, Ben, Beaux, Logan and Trey; and great-grandchildren, Trevor, Dustin, Bryanna, Megan, Cameron and Taylor.
