Bears fall to Indians 70-61

Home court advantage didn’t help the Bridge City Cardinals as the Orangefield Bobcats took them out 63-52, in Tuesday night play.

Orangefield started out strong leading the Cards 13 – 8 in the first quarter. Cats continued to lead 34-23 into the half. Bridge City fought back to tie the score in the third at 44 all. Orangefield blew it open in the fourth going 11 of 14 from the free throw line. 

Orangefield is now 2 and 2 in district play while the Cards are 0 and 4 in district but 15-14 overall.

Nate McAnelly  was top scorer for Bridge City with 25. Tanner Girouard garnered 12.

Orangefield’s top man was Garrett Granger with 18, Tyler Angelle gained 14, Zack Hayes 11 and Derrick Evans with 10.

Bridge City plays at Hamshire Fannett Friday while Orangefield hosts West Orange-Stark.
