Orangefield High School seniors, Shawn McBride, Adam Scales, and Morgan Zerko are three of the featured artists at the 2009 Art Museum of Southeast Texas Protégé Competition and Exhibition of 2009.

Their work was one of twenty pieces selected as the best and most creative artwork of Chambers, Hardin, Jefferson, Newton, Orange and Tyler counties.

McBride created a surrealistic colored pencil drawing.  Scales created a 3-D clay sculpture.  Zerko painted an acrylic painting.  They will have their work displayed in the museum in Beaumont and will be eligible for awards and scholarships.

All three, along with art teacher Sherry Windham, will be presented at an exhibition and awards ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 26.
