The Record Newspapers saw many more great entries for the coloring contest of Oscar the Grouch.

The winner this week is Zackary Rogers, age 2, of Orange. He is pictured here with his colorful entry and family pack of ticket vouchers to see a Sesame Street Live performance coming in March.

His mother and grandmother accompanied Zack on his visit to the office to get his prize.

“She [his mother] couldn’t wait to tell me ‘Mom, he won! He won!'” said Zack’s smiling grandmother.

Zack bravely roamed the office and his only comments were “Elmo” and “Trash can.”

One staff member got a jubilant high five from little Zack as a gesture of appreciation. He gladly took the tickted and had some chocolate candy before heading home.

There was a tie for runner-up. The Newspapers staff awarded two vouchers each to Eliza Blanchard, age 3 and Ansley Blanchard, age 6. Bother girls are residents of Orange.

Their mother, Deanna Blanchard said, “Oh, they will be so excited.”
