Ira L. Davis, 47, of San Antonio, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 in San Antonio. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. were March 11 from Davis Cemetery in Fawil. The Rev. Bill Black will officiated.

Local arrangements were by Dorman Funeral Home.

Born Dec. 28, 1961, in Orange, he had lived in San Antonio for three years, previously residing in Orange. He had worked with the Awanna Pets Store in San Antonio as a clerk. Ira loved watching “Star Wars” and “Lord of the Rings” and sports, and was very skilled at putting puzzles together. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Jewel Lingo; his paternal grandparents, Ramsey and Arvi Davis and his stepfather, Mason Myers, those who will most cherish his memory are his wife, Debra Richardson of San Antonio; his mother, Edith Myers of Orange; his daughter, Dawn Richardson of San Antonio; his sons, William Richardson and his wife Charmaine, Scott Richardson and Christian Richardson all of San Antonio; his sisters, Mona Cockerham and her husband Jerry of Orange; his brothers, Gene Davis and Ramsey Davis and his wife Tammy all of Orange; his grandson, William Richardson Jr.; nieces, Faithe Davis and Keegan Ward; nephew Charles Ramirez III; and close friend, Joyce Fuller of San Antonio.

Pallbearers were William Richardson, Greg Martin, Robert Allen, Scott Richardson, Jeff Collins and Jason Cockerham. Honorary pallbearers are Brad Oliver, Gene Davis, Ramsey Davis and Jerry Cockerham.
