Mary Ellen McCollough Owens, 80, of Orange, she fought the hard fight

and was victorious on April 17, 2009, when she met her Lord and Savior.

Funeral services were April 19 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Watson Franks officiating. Graveside services and interment were in Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

She was born on April 7, 1929, in Arkabutler, Miss., and lived most of her adult life in Orangefield and Vidor where she enjoyed many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband A.C. “Bill” Owens; her mother, Annie Brannon McCollough and father, A.G. McCollough and her sister, Armenita McCollough Bynum.
Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Linda Owens of Orange; daughter, Cornelia Owens of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Terry Myers of Vidor and daughter and son-in-law and daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Randy Dorman of Jasper.

She is also survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank her caregivers, Stacy Ousley, Nancy Gibbs, Evie, Tammy Kurdupski, Brenda Owens, Tiffany Molanders, Brandi Guidry, Michael Hayes and Kathy Norwood.
