Margurite Clara Kyte Duprie, 66, of Beaumont, passed away Friday, April 24, 2009, in Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Graveside services were Monday in Lewis Cemetery in DeRidder, La. Officiating was the Rev. Wayne Kite.

Born Nov. 15, 1942 in Italy, Texas, to Charles Edward Kyte and Doris Marie (Horton) Kyte, she was a lifelong resident of the Orange area, graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont where she made the deans list a number of times and had previously worked as an accounting clerk at Harmon Chevrolet in Orange. Margurite loved life, held a very deep devotion for her Lord and she looked forward to her up and coming marriage.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, LeRoy Duprie and her uncle, Jerold Horton.

Those who will most cherish her memory are her fiancé Robert Dyes of Beaumont; her daughter, Kayla Kyte Virsher of Camden, Ark.; her sister, Virginia Mills and her husband Charles of Madisonville, Texas; her cousins, Wayne Kite of DeRidder, Joe Kite of Louisiana, Janice White and her husband Jerry of Vidor and Karen Bullock and her husband Carl of Mauriceville. Margurite is also survived by numerous extended family.
