Lamar Institute of Technology will host about 80 counselors from area high schools for a workshop and luncheon from 8 p.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 13,  at the Multi-Purpose Center on the campus of LIT.

The workshop will focus on educating counselors about the programs LIT has to offer seniors and juniors as they plan for their collegiate careers. Sessions will spotlight topics such as financial aid, the Tech Prep program, dual credit opportunities. The counselors will also be invited to take a tour of the LIT campus.

Representatives from some of LIT’s programs will also be available to speak to counselors.
