The 17th Annual Ed Peveto Crawfish Boil is set for this Saturday at Jewel Cormier Park in Orangefield.

The yearly event raises money for two athletic scholarships given to both a boy and girl that not only exhibits great athletic ability, but are also academically worthy. This year Olivia Wagner and Zack Peevey each received a $6,000 scholarship funded by the yearly event.

Starting at 1 p.m., hundreds of pounds of boiled crawfish, potatoes, and corn will be available at an all you can eat feast for a donation.

The highlight of the day is the auction of sports memorabilia and equipment from across the country. Even if you don’t have much money, you could still walk away with a great prize in the Cajun auction. The auction starts at 3 p.m.
