The Orangefield Little Dribblers Senior Girls All-Star team will head back to the national tournament, after winning regional competition last month. Nationals are in Levelland from June 10-13.

The Lady Bobcats started the tournament by defeating the host team Lady Indians 45-37 to advance to the finals. In the championship game, the Lady Cats took on a familiar opponent in the Twin County Lady Hawks from Sour Lake. The Lady Cats would come out on top in a hard fought game 27-25 to earn the victory and title of regional champs.

Team members are: Carley Choate, Kacey LeBlanc, Megan Burton, Morgan Moss, Paige Perales, Abby Ledeoux, Maggie Hebert, Caylin Choate, Paige Ousley, Priscilla Garza, and Desiree Holden.

The Lady Bobcats are coached by Marty Elkins, Erik Smith, Barbara Hickey and Ashleigh Broussard.

These young ladies are working hard to bring the National title back to Southeast Texas, but they also need donations from local businesses. They will also raffle a $500 Academy gift card for $5 a ticket. To contribute, call Josette Choate at 313-1533 or Marty Elkins, 670-3792.
