Dorothy M. Newton, 84, of Vidor died Sunday, June 7, 2009 in Vidor. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., Monday at Memorial Funeral Home.

A native of Beaumont, she has lived in Vidor since 1937, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Vidor VFW.  

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Newton and Buford W. Duvall; parents, Robert and Myrtle Revia; and sisters, Gertie Mathues and Doris Baker. 

She is survived by her sons, Howard E. Duvall and wife Linda of Beaumont, Raymond L. Duvall and his wife Janet of Vidor, and Wesley D. Duvall of Beaumont; daughter, Betty Sheffield and husband Gayle of Beaumont; sisters, Rosie Whitmire and Alice Cessac, both of Vidor, Mary Bartholdi of Kountze and Joan Johnson of Spurger; three grandchildren, Kim Outlaw, William Duvall, and James Duvall; and one great-grandchild, Landes Outlaw.
