Philpott rides Challenger into new era
Precinct 3 Constable Mark Philpott displays his new black medal flake 2009 Dodge Challenger patrol car. Philpott rides into a new era as constable replacing John Ford who retired last year after serving 38 years.
Philpott, Ford’s nephew, was elected constable this past May. He “inherited” Ford’s trademark 2002 ’35th Edition’ Chevy Carmaro in January.
The new Dodge Challenger was located in Flint, Mich., as a special order. It has custom graphics designed by Carl W. Velzke of Vinyl Graphics in Oostburg, Wis. They were installed on the vehicle by Victor Galaviz of Auto Trim Express in Vidor.
Ford’s Camaro has a Corvette engine. Philpott has the car for sale.
Precinct 2 Constable Rob Strause and Precinct 1 Constable Chris Humble both drive new Dodge Chargers.
