Everitt V. Baxter, 70, of Vidor died Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, at Memorial Funeral Home.

A native of Beaumont, he has lived in Vidor for 15 years, and was a retired general manager with Jack’s Tire Service. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp Reserves.  

Everitt was preceded in death by his sons, Rocky Lynn Baxter and Patrick Victor Baxter. 

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Dean Baxter of Vidor; sons, Richard Baxter of Lumberton, Randall Baxter of Berkley, Calif., Michael Baxter and his wife Sheryl of Buna, Troy Baxter and his wife Dawn of Lorodge, La., Milton Goss and his wife Tina of Vidor; daughter, Deborah Lisenby and her husband Scott of Mauriceville; sisters, Juanita Allen of Sour Lake and Annie Earline Carmichael of Beaumont; ten grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
