Robert ”Bobby” Romero
Bridge CityRobert ”Bobby” Romero, 61, of Bridge City, died Tuesday June 30, 2009 at his residence in Bridge City. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, at Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland with the Revs. Brad Morgan, David and Anita Green officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the mortuary.
Bobby was born in Port Arthur on Oct. 4, 1947 to Deleus and Katherine Romero. He lived in Nederland most of his life until moving to Bridge City six years ago. He retired from Unocal, Beaumont Refinery, and was employed with Sun Oil Company in Nederland. Bobby served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Viet Nam War. He was also a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bridge City.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Ginger Ryder Romero of Bridge City; one daughter, Stacie Kerr Harken of Beaumont; one son, Sean Kerr of Nederland; two granddaughters, McKenzie and Marleigh Harken of Beaumont.
