High school students new to the Bridge City district should preregister July 29-31. The student along with the parent / guardian must go to the assistant principals’ office to preregister. Items needed for pre-registration are: previous school records, current immunization records, certified copy of birth certificate, proof of residence (lease purchase, rental agreement, or current permanent utility bill), legal guardianship information (if appropriate) and Social Security card.  A parent or guardian shall be present with the student to complete registration procedures. Office hours are 8-11 a.m. and 12:30-3:30 p.m. If there are any questions, call 735-1540. New students must complete preregistration so their schedule of classes can be picked up on orientation day Aug. 6.

To participate in orientation: Students are required to adhere to school dress and grooming policies. Times are: seniors 8-9 a.m.; sophomores 10-11 a.m.; juniors, 9-10 a.m.; and freshmen    12:15-2:30 p.m.

To park on campus, students must have a reserved parking permit, which can be bought if the following requirements are provided: proof of liability insurance; valid Texas driver’s license; vehicle’s license number; and drug testing permission form signed by parent (if you have a previous form signed and in our possession, no form is necessary).

Reserved permits will cost $15. All students driving vehicles must have the vehicle registered with the school and the parking permits must be visible at all times.

Provine school pictures
Individual student portraits will be made during orientation. In order to give everyone the opportunity to purchase a package to suit their individual needs, you may choose from the packages listed below. The correct amount of money must be brought to orientation. Please make checks payable to Provine. Various packages are available from $15-$40.

Middle school
Students new to the district should register Aug. 10-14 in the Middle School Counselor’s office, open from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Items needed for registration are: Previous school records, current immunization records, certified copy of birth certificate, proof of residence, and Social Security card. A parent or guardian shall be present with the student to complete registration procedures. Call 735-1581 for more information.

New students should enroll by Aug. 17 in order to receive a schedule on our registration day, August 18.

For students previously enrolled. registration for the middle school will be Aug. 18 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. in the cafeteria. Students will pick up academic class schedules, locate classrooms, and take school pictures. Students are required to follow the school’s grooming regulations. On this same day, seventh-  and eighth-grade athletes and students who participate in an extra curricular activity can turn in physicals and drug testing forms to the coaching staff on campus after registering. Also, please ensure that immunizations are up to date.

School picture packages which can be purchased Aug. 18 from $15-$40.

Intermediate school
Students new to the district should register Aug. 6-14 in the campus main office from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. New students must have previous school records, a certified copy of birth certificate, immunization record, Social Security card, proof of residence (light bill, water bill or lease/rental agreement), and shall be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Bridge City Intermediate will distribute schedules Aug. 19 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Students are encouraged to take supplies to their assigned homeroom at that time. Teachers will be in classes to greet parents and students. Parent orientation will be in the cafeteria beginning at 6 p.m. to review campus procedures, BCISD policies, and important state mandates. Students unable to attend the registration on Aug. 19 will be given schedules in the school office on Aug. 20-21 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Teachers will not be available on Aug. 20-21 for staff development programs.

Hatton Elementary
New kindergarten students to the Bridge City district may enroll beginning Aug. 3 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Students must be 5 on or before Sept. 1 and have the following: a state certified copy of birth certificate, immunization records, Social Security card, proof of residence (electric, water or lease only) and parent must be present and have identification.

Class / teacher assignments will be posted on Aug. 19 for students enrolled prior to Aug. 14. 

 Parent and student orientation will be Aug. 19 at 9 a.m. for last names beginning with A through K; and 10 a.m. for names beginning with L through Z. Meeing location will be announced later.

New Pre-K students
Registration begins Aug. 3 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Students must be 4 on or before Sept. 1 and proof of income for month of July (must meet the National School Lunch and Child Nutrition Programs income eligibility guidelines), a state certified copy of birth certificate, immunization records, Social Security card, proof of residence (electric, water or lease only,)and ID of parent or guardian.
Eligibility extends to:
• Dependent of active military (parent / guardian must have military ID).
• Child of a member of the armed forces of the U.S. injured or killed serving active duty.
• Child that has been in foster care of the Department of Family and Protective Services.
• Child with limited English language (registration pending a language assessment).

Sims Elementary
Students new to the district may enroll beginning Aug. 10 from 8a.m.-3 p.m. Students must have previous school records, a certified copy of birth certificate, immunization records, Social Security card, proof of residence, and shall be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
For students previously enrolled, class / teacher assignments will be posted on Aug. 19 for students enrolled prior to Friday, Aug. 14.
Parent orientation will be Aug. 19 at the following times: 1 p.m., grade 1 in the cafeteria; 1:30 p.m., grade 1    in classroom with teacher; 2 p.m., grade  2 in the cafeteria; 2:30 p.m., grade  2, in the classroom with teacher.
