Esther A. McFadden, 85, of Vidor, died Monday, Aug. 3, 2009 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral services were Aug. 7, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial at Del Rose Cemetery in Vidor.

A native of Oakey, Queensland, Australia, she has lived in Vidor since 1977, and was a homemaker. She also worked in an airplane factory during World War II assembling engines. 

Esther was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Wayne McFadden; daughter, Beverly Ann Johnson; parents, Thomas and Victoria Williams; brothers, Dave Williams, and Norman Williams; sisters, Mabel Lynch and Daisy Pottinger; and one grandchild, Tracy Johnson. 

She is survived by her sons, Charles McFadden and wife Beth of Willis and Gary W. McFadden of Vidor; daughter, Pam Sorich and husband Mike of Shenandoah; brother, Alick Williams and wife Cynthia; and sister, Mary Green and husband Glenn all of Queensland, Australia; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
