William E. Mounts, 84, of Vidor died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 at Golden Years Assisted Living in Orange. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 8 at Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home. 

William was born on Sept. 11, 1924 in Fort Gay, W.V. to Charles and Geneva Mounts. William was a longtime resident of Vidor and was an inspector for General Motors for 35 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Vidor. 

William is survived by his sons, William Mounts Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth, Tom Mounts and his wife, Dianna all of Vidor, David Mounts and his wife, Judy of Beaumont; daughter, Mary Smith of Orange; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
