Thirty-two Anderson and Oates Elementary students in grades kindergarten through fifth participated in the West Orange-Stark High School Cheerleaders’ Cheerleading Clinic Sept. 5.

The three hour camp taught eight cheers and one dance routine.  Participants also received a tee-shirt and lunch.

WOS Cheer Clinic students who participated performed all of their cheers during the first quarter of the football game at Fridays varsity home event against Kirbyville.

“This is a fundraiser for the cheerleaders. It helps to fund scholarships which are presented to our graduating seniors in May. We really want to the thank the community for their support of this program,” Willie Ann Taylor, cheerleader sponsor said.

Taylor said the fundraiser also provides supplies as well.

The WOS Cheer Clinic is an annual event.

Gwen Kelly-Hall is the assistant cheerleader sponsor.
