Charles “Chuck” E. Baldwin, Sr., 79, of Silsbee, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at Silsbee Oaks Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.  Officiating will be the Rev. Barry Bradley of First Baptist Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Parish Cemetery in Orange. The family will receive friends for visitation at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

Chuck was born on March 24, 1930, in Franklin, N.C.  He was the son of Harley Baldwin and Allie (Humphries) Baldwin.  He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean and Gulf War. Chuck was also the former owner and operator of Baldwin Aviation in Orange.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles E. Baldwin Jr.; four brothers and five sisters.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Priscilla Joan Baldwin; three grandchildren, Charles E. Baldwin III, Priscilla Joan Baldwin and Kenneth Wentworth II; sister, Thelma Freeman of Henderson, N.C.; and brother, Harold Baldwin of Marietta, Ga.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dean Wentworth, Kenneth Wentworth, Terry Childers, Charles Coleman, Ben Meadows and Mark Ellis.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bill McKeon, Frank Moates, Jim Dowies and Dr. Wilbur Hah.
