David Lee Rumsey Jr., 46, of Orange, died Oct. 11, 2009, at his home. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be the Rev. George Kidangen of St. Helen Catholic Church in Orangefield. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m., Tuesday with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

David was born on Sept. 26, 1963, in Orange. He was the son of David Lee Rumsey and Rosie (Villarreal) Rumsey. David enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors on the river.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Lee Rumsey; grandfather, Calvin Rumsey; and grandparents, Eulalia Villarreal and Esequiel Villarreal.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy White Rumsey; mother, Rose Rumsey; grandmother, Ruth Rumsey; children, Allyssa, Chase, Cheyenne and Camryn Rumsey; sisters, Kelly Morphew and Mary Salazar; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Keith White, Lionell Ramirez, Wade Salazar, Cody Simon, Wendell Barron and John Rumsey Jr.
