The West Orange – Stark High School Culinary Arts Club competed in the Winnie Rice Festival Culinary Competition, earning first place and sweeping three divisions:  vegetables and salads, main dish, and desserts.

In the vegetables and salads competition, 1st place A’Kiya Walker placed first, with classmates Alex Pratt and Jamarcus Corks, placing second and third respectively.

In the main dish competition, WO-S students swept the top three places. Shabana Navrozali placed first. The team of Jeanette Collins, Georqual Tolliver and Carlneshia Gaddis placed second. Kathleen Pedder placed third.

In the desserts category, Dominique Singleton placed first, while Shabana Navrozali placed second. The team of Jeanette Collins, Carlneshia Gaddis and Georqual Tolliver placed third.

Myeashia Nash and Adore Dorsey placed second and third, respectively in the appetizers competition.
